for yourself why New Mexico is called the "Land of Enchantment". Ride some of the greatest motorcycle roads in the west ,
with scenery beyond comparison. Smell the piñon and sage as you wind your way from the high deserts, canyons and
mesas through spectacular mountains on twisting roads devoid of traffic.
Visit the historic old west towns of Santa Fe, Taos, and Durango. Explore the rich cultural diversity of the region and
sample the finest cuisine this unique area has to offer. It will be a trip you
will never forget.
DAY
1 - Sunday
Fly or drive to Albuquerque, New Mexico. We will pick you up
at the airport and take you to your bikes. Try them out, and then meet for
dinner and an evening spent getting to know everyone.
DAY
2 - Monday

Leave Albuquerque and ride into the Jemez
Mountains. Travel through Jemez Pueblo and Jemez Springs before climbing the
winding road into the Valle Grande, the world’s largest caldera, where great
herds of elk can often be seen. We drop out of the mountains into Los Alamos,
home of the atomic bomb, and then travel through the beautiful canyons and mesas to the Indian ruins of Bandelier National Monument.
Ride to the scenic Rio Grande overlook at White Rock Canyon before stopping for
the afternoon in Santa Fe, the jewel of the Southwest, a charming city full of history, shops and galleries.
DAY
3 - Tuesday -
(approx. 140 miles)
A day trip through the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. We ride through Pecos,
Glorieta Pass, Truchas and Chimayo. Or, if you prefer to stay in Santa Fe, visit museums, look through
the Canyon Road art galleries or browse through the many shops surrounding the
Plaza. Admire the
unique adobe architecture and explore the history of the oldest town in North
America.
DAY 4
- Wednesday -
(approx. 220 miles)
After breakfast in Abiquiu we continue north through the beautiful landscapes
of Georgia O’Keefe country, passing her home at Ghost Ranch and the often
painted Pedernales Mountain. We cross the
continental divide, pass through the Jicarilla Apache reservation and the Kit Carson
National Forest before arriving in the historic wild west town of Durango, Colorado, where we spend the
night.
DAY
5 - Thursday ( approx. 230 miles)
A day of choices! Ride your bike on all or part of the magnificent San Juan
Skyway. Take the steam railroad through the spectacular Animas River canyon to the wild west mining
town of Silverton. Visit the world renown Indian ruins at Mesa Verde, go white
water rafting, pan for gold, or just relax and shop
in the many unusual stores in Durango.
DAY
6 - Friday -
(approx. 160 miles)
Ride through the beautiful mountains of
southern Colorado to Pagosa Springs and then head south into New Mexico. We
cross the southern San Juan Mountains, the Rio Grande Gorge bridge and visit the
Taos Indian Pueblo, which has been continuously occupied for the past 1,000
years! We spend the night in Taos near the old plaza in deluxe accommodations
that feature gas burning fire places, a swimming pool and hot tub. Visit some of
the many shops and galleries in Taos.
DAY
7 - Saturday -
(approx. 200 miles)
Ride "The Enchanted Circle" near the
highest peak in New Mexico in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains. Have lunch on the banks of the Rio Grande
river, and return
to our starting point in Albuquerque after a stop in historic Old Town. Relax
over dinner and prepare to return home with memories for a lifetime.
